The BioDME project
The European BioDME-project is a cooperation between Chemrec, Volvo, Preem, Total, Haldor Topsoe, Delphi and ETC, financed by the project members and the European Seventh Framework Programme. The project is running from 2008 - 2012.
The overall objective is the demonstration of an environmentally optimised bio‐fuel for road transport covering the full chain from production of fuel from biomass to the utilisation in vehicles
The Domsjö Fabriker project
At Domsjö Fabriker biorefinery in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, Chemrec's gasification technology will be implemented in an industrial-scale demonstration plant. An investment grant from the the Swedish Energy R&D Board of up to SEK 500 million (€49 million, $73 million) was approved by the EU Directorate General for Competition according to the State aid rules in February 2011.
